Recurring Outlook Meetings
# Summary
The Outlook Add-in should support recurring meeting series and should be fully compatible with OpenTalk recurring meetings. Adding an OpenTalk room to a meeting series should give all occurrences the same meeting link.
# Acceptance Criteria
* The OpenTalk meeting room can be added when creating a recurring Meeting series
* Deleting a single occurrence does not delete the Meeting series room
* Editing or Moving a single occurrence keeps the Meeting room link valid
# Supported Outlook / Exchange versions
Recurring-meeting support depends on the Office.js `Office.Recurrence` APIs, which require requirement set Mailbox 1.7. This is not available on all platforms:
* Available on Exchange Online; not supported on on-prem Exchange Server versions (per Microsoft's requirement-set support tables).
* Requires a recent Outlook client (older, EOL clients don't support Mailbox 1.7).
**Implications**:
* On unsupported setups the add-in falls back to single-event behaviour (recurrence is gated behind an `isSetSupported("Mailbox", "1.7")` check) - the feature is hidden, not broken
* A large share of customers on on-prem Exchange will not be able to use this feature
* Release notes must state the minimum requirements (Mailbox 1.7 / Exchange Online / supported Outlook versions)
* Open risk: it's unverified whether `isSetSupported` accounts for the Exchange Server version or only the Outlook client. If only the client, an on-prem deployment could report support but fail at runtime. Needs testing against an on-prem Exchange Server - tracked separately.

# Testing scenarios - recurring meeting
Changes to a calendar entry are only synced to OpenTalk while the OpenTalk add‑in is **open** and you press **Update** (or **Cancel** for deletions). Editing or deleting an appointment purely in Outlook - without opening the add‑in - does **not** update the OpenTalk meeting
## Create
1. New single appointment -\> add OpenTalk meeting -\> **Expected:** single event in OpenTalk with room link in body/location
2. New **recurring** series -\> add OpenTalk meeting -\> **Expected:** OpenTalk event of type _recurring_ with the same pattern (all occurrences share one room link)
## Edit
### Series
3. Open the full series, change day/time and/or the recurrence pattern -\> open add-in panel -\> **Update** -\> **Expected:** OpenTalk reflects the new schedule/pattern and stays _recurring_
4. Open the full series, change only the **title** -\> **Update** -\> **Expected:** title updates and it stays _recurring_ (regression check - must **not** become single/time‑independent)
### Single occurrence
5. **Open the add-in panel first, then move** the occurrence's time -\> **Update** -\> **Expected:** only that occurrence moves in OpenTalk (series and other occurrences unchanged). The occurrence is matched on open, before the move.
6. **Reopen an occurrence you previously moved/edited via the add-in** -\> **Update** -\> **Expected:** it resolves to the same occurrence and is patched (the controller's exception is matched by its start time).
7. **Move an occurrence in Outlook without opening the add-in, then open the panel** -\> **Expected:** the add-in cannot match the occurrence and shows the "occurrence couldn't be matched" error, disabling **Update**/**Cancel** for it (we don't guess which occurrence). To change it, edit/cancel it directly in OpenTalk or open the panel _before_ moving. The same block applies to a move larger than roughly one recurrence interval.
8. Open a single (unmoved) occurrence -\> **Cancel** in the add-in -\> **Expected:** only that occurrence is cancelled in OpenTalk (series and room remain)
## Delete
9. Open the full series (or a single meeting) -\> Cancel in the add-in -\> Delete in outlook -\> **Expected:** the whole OpenTalk meeting is deleted
